Morrison Salon and Spa's owner, master stylist Kim, has been in the hair business for more than 30 years - most as either salon manager or owner. Recently celebrating her 15th anniversary as owner of Upper Cuts Hair Studio, and now joining the Aveda family as Morrison Salon and Spa, the areas only Aveda Concept Salon. She believes that guests deserve the highest level of service that both she and her team can provide. Finding it both professionally and personally rewarding to mentor new stylists, she instills the importance of continuing education and guest service satisfaction. Kim enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren, history, gardening, painting, quilting, reading, and hiking with her beloved Husky, Sawyer. Education and training: Brazilian Blowout Certified. Hope, Principal Stylist
Making people feel better about themselves is rewarding, and it's what Hope appreciates most as a beauty industry professional. Enjoying all facets of her position as principal stylist, she also offers her guests custom color as an airbrush tanning technician. Hope enjoys spending time with her children, attending concerts, visiting amusement parks and spending time outdoors. Education and training: Brazilian Blowout Certified. Heather P, Massage Therapist
Choosing a career path that promotes relaxation and imparts a sense of general well-being, Heather chose the Scranton Campus of the Fortis Institute for her education, where she studied not only massage fundamentals but also pathology, anatomy, physiology and kinesiology. Born in Waywatosa, Wisconsin, Heather moved to Tunkhannock as a child of 5-years-old, and continues to live locally with her three children. Education and training: Fortis Institute, Scranton Campus; CPR trained and certified; and Aveda technical in-salon/spa training. She is also a certified Norvell Sunless tanning technician.
Dakota, Senior Stylist
Dakota is always looking to advance herself through education. She attended SCCTC for cosmetology. Having worked in the industry for two years, she decided to return to SCCTC to pursue her degree in Massage Therapy. Dakota is certified in Microdermabrasion and Glycolic treatments. She is also Brazilian Blowout Certified. Dakota is also a member of the National Technical Honor Society. Making guests feel great is what she strives for.
Maddy, Senior Stylist
Helping guests feel and look their best is Maddy's passion. Maddy attended SCCTC and joined Morrison Salon and Spa in 2018. Maddy enjoys working in the industry and especially working with and living the Aveda Mission. Maddy is always looking to improve her skills through continuing education. Maddy is certified in Microdermabrasion Brazilian Blowout Certified and
Glycolic peels. Maddy enjoys all aspects of the industry, including spa services and hair services, and loves the Aveda color line "for it's shine, and the fact that it is plant derived". Time outside the salon, Maddy enjoys spending time with her family and dog.
Kasidy
Manager/Senior Stylist
Kasidy knew from a young age that she was destined to do hair. Growing up, her mother was a stylist and salon owner. This inspired Kasidy and her sister to become future hair professionals. Over the years, she has fallen in love with making people look and feel beautiful. She has 7 years in the industry. Now, joining the Morrison Salon and Aveda family, she looks forward to meeting the Tunkhannock community. Aveda trained, she is "amazed" with Aveda hair color. Kasidy also specializes in cutting, coloring, and is certified in Brazilian Blowout. Also certified Microdermabrasion, and Aveda Spa Services trained, Kasidy looks forward to becoming more involved in these areas. Outside the salon, Kasidy enjoys spending time with her two daughters, family and friends. She also enjoys the beach,cooking, and shopping.
